George A. Parris, PE/PLS A relentless, passionate pursuit for mature Iowa whitetails is the foundation from which prairieimages.com was established.
Owner George A. Parris, PE/PLS was born in 1962 and raised in Audubon, a farming community in western Iowa. George graduated from Iowa State University in 1986 with a degree in surveying engineering. Today he is Senior Vice President for JEO Consulting Group, Inc. (www.jeo.com) and manages a Branch Office in Carroll. He is a licensed civil engineer in the states of Iowa, Nebraska, Minnesota, Wyoming, Illinois and Indiana and a licensed land surveyor in Iowa and Texas.
Prairie Images is a tool through which we can share 33 years of bowhunting experience (first archery license in 1976). Every year does not end with the harvest of a trophy whitetail but every year adds to the experience and knowledge we gain that guides us in the pursuit of bigger and more mature whitetails in the future.
Being a certified Pope and Young measurer allows George even more opportunity to share in the experience of others and their successful trophy harvest. You can find George on summer week-ends with Nikon binoculars and a Nikon spotting scope searching for that buck of a lifetime.
The trail camera addiction has hit George bad. It extends the season significantly. As you can tell by the photos on this site, many hot summer days are spent pulling SD cards and scrolling through pictures on the computer looking for that one buck of a lifetime. Many may wonder why we share pictures of big bucks on the world wide web. Simply put, we want to share the experiences that cause all bowhunters to dream. It is the essence of what Prairie Images is all about.
